The Beginning 1986
Stephen Yaw Essoun was born on the 14th of August, 1986 at Entumbil hospital in the Central Region of Ghana. His Father Stephen Botchway Jnr. popularly known as Kwame Essoun and Mother Sarah Amonyi popularly known as Ama Ewool were both peasant farmers from Ajumako Ba and Brakwa respectively.
Stephen Essoun spent his first years of his life with his mother Ama Ewool and father Kwame Essoun at Brakwa before moving to Abamkrom with his parents. He received his early basic education at Abamkrom L/A Methodist primary school. Following the advice from his late Uncle Mr. Moses Mensah a professional teacher from Fosu Training College, He was moved to a newly opened private school - Thy Kingdom Come Preparatory. He began his entire early life education from Thy Kingdom Come Preparatory school from primary one (1) to four (4). He was involved in most of the school’s communication activities including the then talk of town Telephone conversation with a milk tin at primary two. Following his outstanding performance at Primary four, He was promoted to Primary six.
Mr. Moses Mensah then advised again that Stephen be moved to the L/A Junior Secondary School form one (1). After a successful performance at Junior secondary school form one (JSS1), Stephen was registered with the then form three students sitting for the Basic Education Certificate examination. Following an outstanding performance from the BECE, Stephen obtained the Methodist Students Scholarship to proceed to Mozano Secondary School where he pursued General Arts with Government as one of his favorite elective courses.

Undergraduate Studies
Obtaining aggregate twelve (12) from Mozano Secondary School, He gained admission into the country’s premier university, the University of Ghana, in Legon receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with Linguistics.
Corporate Life 2008
Stephen Essoun worked as records officer at Achimota General Hospital, Marketing and Underwriting Officer at Glico General Insurance, Coca Cola Bottling Company of Ghana as business development executive -Area Account Development, Coca Cola Equatorial Africa as a Project Manager - M&E, Global Media Alliance Co. Ltd as events management executive and Multimedia Group Ltd as Events and Promotions Manager, managing both corporate and entertainment events.
Entry into Ghanaian Politics 2012
2012 marked the year Stephen Yaw Essoun entered Ghanaian politics. He joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and being a dedicated member of the party, he has been a party financier. He is a platinum donor to the party.
Establishment of Limited Liability Companies 2013
In the year 2013, Stephen Yaw Essoun set up his first company registered under the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

Post Graduate 2016
With strong interest in media communication, he enrolled in a post-graduate program in media management at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
2017 Graduation
He graduated in 2017 with strong passion for Leadership and Governance particularly the Ghanaian Political landscape.
Post Graduate 2018
Following his interest in Ghanaian Politics, Stephen Yaw Essoun enrolled in another Post Graduate program in Organisational Leadership and Governance from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).
2020 Graduation
He graduated in 2020 and is currently shuttling between business and politics.
2024 The Year of Scholarship/Foundation
Four years after his second postgraduate in organizational leadership and governance, he set up a foundation to take care of brilliant but needy students at the Tertiary Schools. Currently his scholarship foundation has students in University of Ghana, in Legon his Alma mater and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.
